As a member of UNFCU’s Executive Management Team, the Chief Marketing Officer participates in strategy development and execution of the overall strategic plan of the credit union. Plays a key role in driving financial growth and ensuring an exceptional member experience. Fosters a rewarding work environment and develops a high performing leadership team.

This position is expected to be hybrid.

NYC Salary Range - $250,000 - $350,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

What you'll do

As a member of the Executive Management team, participates in establishing and implementing long-term business direction for the credit union and developing key strategic and tactical plans and operational/resource priorities to achieve that direction. Contributes to the formulation of:

Overall credit union purpose, vision, mission and business plans achievement of UNFCU’s strategic objectives

Strategies, plans and tactics for achieving corporate go to market strategies and optimal organizational efficiency and effectiveness, including initiatives to improve work processes, service delivery, and to enhance systems and staff performance

Collaborates with colleagues on the executive team and leads direct reports within Corporate Marketing to develop, implement, and monitor long-term plans, business strategies and goals

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies incorporating AI and digital marketing tools to analyze data, predict trends, and personalize member interactions

Oversee communications and public relations efforts to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all channels and initiatives

Execute innovative go-to-market strategies that effectively introduce our product and service solutions to diverse markets

Using an omnichannel approach, build and maintain a strong brand presence, leveraging digital platforms to engage with members and stakeholders and to provide financial education content

Lead the Marketing team with a focus on fostering a culture of continuous learning, agility and data-driven decision-making

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing strategies with company-wide initiatives, ensuring a seamless member journey from awareness to loyalty

Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring all initiatives are aligned with financial objectives and deliver a strong return on investment

Identify, select, and effectively manage third party vendors to ensure cost-effective services where capacity or specialization is needed

Provide direction to Marketing Research & Analytics team in order to gain actionable and relevant interpretation of member segmentation data and campaign analytics

Champion Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and social impact objectives, leading with purpose and ethical consideration

Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct

What we're seeking

Minimum of 15 years of marketing experience in the financial services industry, with at least 10 years in a senior/executive leadership role; MBA preferred

Expertise in AI and digital marketing technologies, with a strong understanding of data analytics and customer relationship management systems

Strong MS Office skills

Knowledge of consumer financial services product offerings

Exceptional communication and public relations skills, with experience managing media relations corporate and crisis communications

Proven success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies and brand-building campaigns that resonate with a global customer base

Knowledgeable about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aligning marketing strategies with global sustainability and social responsibility objectives for the organization

Strong leadership abilities, with experience in guiding teams towards achieving strategic marketing objectives; an ability to manage resources and lead the execution of multiple initiatives and projects through several layers of management

Strong collaborative skills with peers and an ability to gain consensus among multiple stakeholders

Customer-centric mindset, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences at every touchpoint

What makes you stand out

Multilingual in English and any of the official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian) a plus

Willing to travel to various UN duty stations or UNFCU Representative Offices as needed
