Role Description: Photo CoordinatorWe are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Photo Coordinator to join our creative team. The Photo Coordinator will play a critical role in organizing and managing our photographic content for both print and digital platforms. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills and a passion for visual storytelling.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate all photography needs for our publications, including scheduling, assigning and tracking photo shoots.Collaborate closely with editors, designers and photographers to ensure alignment with editorial vision and brand standards.Review, select and organize images for publication, ensuring quality, consistency and adherence to deadlines.Maintain and update an organized photo archive and digital asset management system.Manage relationships with freelance photographers and negotiate contracts and rates.Assist in budgeting and managing costs related to photography.Ensure all photos are properly credited and that usage rights are adhered to.Stay up-to-date on industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a photo coordination or photo editing role, preferably in a publishing environment.Strong knowledge of photography, including composition, lighting, and editing.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom) and other photo management software.Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience working in digital asset management systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Passion for storytelling through visual media.
