Consumer Products

Brands & Licensing is responsible for developing and deepening fan engagement to commercialize our IP content. This includes exploring digital growth opportunities for the business, looking at innovative licensing models and driving value from BBC Studios' world-famous brands such as Doctor Who, Bluey, Top Gear, Strictly Come Dancing/Dancing With The Stars and BBC Earth. We run global businesses from live events to merchandise through to music and magazine publishing. We are right at the heart of helping BBC Studios identify opportunities for growth and future proof its success through scaling digital business models such as social media monetization and gaming through our new business division to identify the business models of the future. Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity to join a major, global entertainment company and gain experience in licensing, specifically retail development. The primary focus of the Coordinator, Retail Development, will be to assist our growing team to spearhead retail marketing efforts in the US and Canada. Be a part of a dynamic team responsible for securing retail placement and support for fan favorites like Bluey, Doctor Who, BBC Earth and more.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

Principal Accountabilities• Support all retail development efforts for full roster of BBC Studios brands across all channels of distribution and categories• Manage day to day communication and requests for retail, brand and sales information• Help Retail Marketing team plan all aspects of retail promotions and events - in-store and digital• Assist in achieving executional excellence for retail promotions

Scope & Impact• Assist in creating customized presentations for the Retail Development team to pitch, support or launch retail programs• Solicit, compile and analyze retail sales data for retail development team• Support to execute marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives to drive sales• Regular store visits with retail team to all channels of distribution. Report findings, trends and identify white space• Create, update and maintain all internal and external reports including: retailer/retail buyer databases, retailer communications, calendars, competitive research, product line lists and retail placement reports, budgets and recaps• General administrative support including invoice processing, logging against budget, management of calendars for meetings, travel and trade shows, legal documents, etc.• Assist on the day-to-day development and marketing management of the BBC's Amazon Brand Stores• Utilize brand knowledge, experience, and trends to ideate strategic activations and innovative in-store experiences to drive traffic and/or increase brand awareness• Facilitate development of omnichannel creative and merchandising campaigns• Provide administrative and other ad hoc support as needed

Relationships• Work closely with all internal teams at BBC Studios: Brand, Sales, Marketing, PR, Creative, Finance and Legal, as well as licensees and agencies.• Support in executing best in class promotional programs, incremental feature opportunities, trade/campaign support plans and digital media campaigns

Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience

Knowledge &

Skills• Strong analytical skills with a desire to understand omnichannel retail and apply to our brands• Technologically savvy with excellent skills in Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop• Proficient in Excel for database management, data visualization and analysis• Highly organized with strong follow through and time management skills• Ability to travel

Professional Experience• 1-3 years experience in licensing, retail development or the consumer products industry• Bachelor's Degree

Compensation

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $60,000-$65,000k. This does not include other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.
