As the Technical Director, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless live broadcasts, coordinating camera feeds, and enhancing the viewer experience.

Responsibilities:
Live Production: Manage the technical aspects of live broadcasts during sporting events. Coordinate camera angles, graphics, and instant replays to create an engaging viewer experience.
Camera Coordination: Work closely with camera operators to ensure optimal camera placement and smooth transitions between shots. You’ll oversee two to three camera feeds simultaneously, capturing the action from different angles.
Instant Replay: Be the go-to person for instant replays. Quickly analyze key moments and cue up relevant footage for the broadcast.
Switching and Routing: Operate the video switcher to seamlessly switch between camera feeds, graphics, and other visual elements.
Collaboration: Work closely with the production team, including Play-by-Play Announcers, analysts, and producers, to execute the broadcast plan flawlessly.
Technical Troubleshooting: Address any technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions during live broadcasts.
Quality Control: Ensure video and audio quality meet broadcast standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in live sports broadcasting or a related field
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating video switchers and routing systems.
Familiarity with instant replay.
Knowledge of camera setup, operation and coordination.
Attention to Detail: You thrive under pressure and can make split-second decisions to enhance the viewer experience.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including Thursday and Friday evenings and weekends during sporting events.
