only .Schedule : Flexible - days, nights, weekends, and Holidays included.Starting Pay : $16.00 per hourJob PurposeThe Social Media and Marketing Intern will be responsible for coordinating and executing SBU Eats social media strategy, working across key social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook. The intern will maintain SBU Eats presence on social media platforms and help to publish content relevant to Stony Brook University.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the design and execution of social media campaignsCreate weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media platformsTrack social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalabilitySupport marketing team at live and online eventsPerform social media marketing researchCreate influencer campaign strategyRespond to comments and DMs on social media platformsBrainstorm and research ideas for original contentWrite social media captions that speak to the company's target audienceHelp create and edit short-form videosDevelop new strategies for increasing engagementAssist with photo/video content shootsEnsure brand message is consistentOther duties as assignedRequirementsDetail oriented and able to work independentlyStrong understanding of social media platformsAn interest in marketing and communicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic Adobe design skillsReports ToThe SBU Eats Social Media and Marketing Intern will report directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager.Compass Group Intern Requirements:Must be enrolled in a college/university or technical program to receive college creditPossess an interest in learning, observing, and practicing a variety of experiences in our industryDemonstrate awareness, understanding, and skills necessary to work in a diverse environmentExcellent writing and editing skillsArticulate, with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesSolid project management acumenDetail-orientedSelf-directed, proactive, and curiousFlexible and adaptableAttitude of a leaderEnjoyment of building relationshipsAbout Compass Group: Achieving leadership in the foodservice industryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
