Otter Products is looking for a Web Designer to support our consumer websites. This role is based at our Fort Collins, CO headquarters, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule. As a member of our internal creative team, you will work closely with the ecommerce, development, and marketing teams to design, maintain, and optimize our transactional direct-to-consumer websites. As the Web Designer, you will contribute to the overall team effort, applying developed skills and knowledge while following internal processes and adhering to brand guidelines to create and revise web content aligned with the greater body of marketing materials, ensuring efficient, high-quality work on tight deadlines. To succeed in this role, you will have a strong design background, a deep understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles, and the technical skills to create visually appealing and highly functional mobile and desktop websites.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain the company's direct-to-consumer website, ensuring a visually appealing, user-friendly, responsive design.

Collaborate cross-functionally with ecommerce, marketing, and development to understand strategy, business goals, and user needs

Work with technical UX Designers and Front-End Developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and troubleshoot design-related issues.

Translate wireframes into workable designs, i.e., create concepts, mockups, and layouts to communicate design ideas.

Participate in the development, then implement design strategies that enhance the user experience and drive conversions.

Take creative direction to ensure website designs are consistent with brand guidelines and maintain a cohesive look and feel.

Optimize website design for various devices and screen sizes, ensuring a seamless experience across all platforms.

Stay up to date on the latest web design trends, technologies, and best practices.

Contribute to a positive culture and team environment. Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Minimum of two years of directly related in-house or agency web design experience is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and MAC operating systems required. Strong understanding of mobile-first, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility required. Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript preferred. Knowledge of Figma or similar collaborative design tools preferred. Experience with electronic commerc or 'ecommerce' preferred.
