Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Marketing to lead our brand strategy and planning efforts. This role is crucial for driving the overall brand and product positioning, ensuring cohesive execution across all brand touchpoints, and delivering business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer goods, with a proven track record of managing teams, launching new product categories, and delivering impactful marketing campaigns.

Brand Strategy & Development:

Lead the annual brand planning process, including setting objectives, developing marketing plans, and allocating budgets.Evolve the current brand positioning and communication strategy for Nature's Fynd, ensuring consistency across all communication channels, including paid, earned and owned.Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Development, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain) to deliver key objectives. Serve as the central point of contact for these stakeholders, facilitating communication and alignment to business and product objectives.Oversee all aspects of new product development and launch strategies for the base business, from ideation to commercialization, in partnership with innovation and product development teams. Orchestrate seamless commercialization and launch of new product categories and items to expand our product portfolio.Marketing Communications:

Develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, consideration, and affinity among target consumers.Develop and lead the communications strategy for new product launches, ensuring alignment with overall brand positioning and business objectives.Define campaign goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and timelines to ensure successful execution and measurable outcomes.Manage the marketing budget, allocating resources strategically to maximize return on investment and achieve brand objectives.Manage relationships with external agencies and partners to support brand building activities, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and delivering high-quality creative outputs.Portfolio & Category Management:

Lead a team of Brand/Category managers to monitor and analyze category performance, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.Manage the product portfolio within the category, including SKU rationalization, lifecycle management, and innovation pipeline development.Develop and execute pricing and positioning strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining competitive advantage in the category.Lead the development of promotional strategies and trade marketing initiatives that drive category performance and meet customer needs.Conduct ongoing assessments of the competitive landscape to proactively address threats and capitalize on market opportunities within the category.Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, communications, operations, and finance to ensure buy-in and support for marketing initiatives.Work closely with senior leadership to ensure marketing strategies align with overall business objectives.Professional Experience & Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand management within the consumer goods industry.Strong digital expertise with a demonstrated ability to drive brand growth through e-commerce platforms, digital marketing strategies, social media engagement, and the use of data analytics to optimize consumer experiences and business outcomes.Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field, MBA preferred.Proven experience in leading brand strategy, planning, and execution.Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to think strategically and act operationally.Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive marketing decisions.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Owner/General Manager mindset and has a strong sense of urgency with a bias for action and problem solving in the face of setbacks."Player coach" mentality: Actively contribute to day-to-day tasks and projects while simultaneously leading and mentoring the team.Comfortable working with ambiguity .Versatile, nimble, and enthusiastic to work in a high growth startup environment with an ever-changing external landscape while wearing "'multiple hats".Passionate about sustainability and food.CPG experience in a high growth startup environment.Benefits:
