Position Overview | The Big Picture

The Graphic Designer provides innovative graphic design services to support the sale and vision of the sales department and over graphic initiatives. This position manages graphics projects and coordinates all related details. This position acts as a support to the graphics department as a whole in assisting the completion of design, signage, and custom-built graphic projects in addition to assisting in general maintenance and inventory of the graphics department supplies, tools, and equipment. This position reports to the Graphics Manager and may receive direction from the Graphics Assistant Manager, Event Directors, and other Creative Services team members.

Designs and creates creative, eye-catching conceptual and computer graphic designs using the latest version of Mac-based software (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, etc.) for a variety of uses for event decor.Assesses and adjusts designs to bring themes and client’s vision to life.Collaborates with other graphic designers and design teams across the company to achieve high-level design aesthetics that are cohesive and in harmony with the event or project style goals.Coordinates, prioritizes, proofread, and produces logos, collateral, custom signage, and environmental graphics for multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.Utilizes time management skills to ensure deadlines are met.Maintains and coordinates proper project file management on computer, server, and storage media. May take on project management roles for various projects.Participates in various meetings as a representative of the department. Meets with sales, and production managers, to plan project objectives and concepts.Prepares pull sheets and visual instructions for graphic production workers to organize and assemble deliverables for samples and events.Other Duties and Safety Requirements | There’s More!

Complies with all department and company safety guidelines, procedures, and rules.Mentors safe work practices to co-workers and team.Completes all safety training as directed and within established timelines.Interfaces professionally with all people, internal and external, in a kind and respectful manner.

Tracks and enters time and assigns hours and tasks to appropriate events and jobs in time and attendance system.Completes all Human Resources and Payroll tasks and notifications through the Employee Self Service Online Portal on a weekly basis, as directed and within established timelines.Assists in other departments as needed and directed.May perform other duties as required.

Qualifications | What You Need to Bring

A college degree in Graphic Design (specifically BS or BFA).Prior graphic design experience is required. Knowledge and proven experience with current creative and production software including Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, etc.Strong conceptual design skills and sense of style.Excellent communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.Strong ability to multi-task, pay attention to details, manage fluctuating priorities, and work fast and efficiently.Great attitude and team player.Knowledge of large-scale graphic designs is a plus.Physical and Work Environment Requirements | What it is Like in the Office

Ability to sit and work at a computer for the majority of the workday.Ability to work with hands and arms during the entire shift.Might be required to lift 20 pounds or more.Ability to handle large and potentially fragile items safely.Required to move between multiple locations throughout the workday.Must have 20/20 vision with correction.Must be able to tolerate cold, heat, and humid conditions.Ability to tolerate moderate noise and share office space.
