Job Summary:
The Senior Training Manager is responsible for developing and managing training programs, content, and processes to ensure that they effectively meet the needs of our target audience while reflecting Optimum’s mission and vision. This role involves overseeing course development, training delivery, resource management, and performance management to ensure that training is both efficient and impactful. The Senior Training Manager will work with various training formats including instructor-led, online, blended, and documentation-driven methods.
 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Program Design: Develop and design training programs including identifying course content, selecting appropriate delivery methods, and determining personnel requirements.
- Training Delivery: Execute training programs through various methods such as instructor-led sessions, online platforms, blended approaches, and documentation-driven processes.
- Stakeholder Education: Inform stakeholders about training benefits, requirements, and availability.
- Logistics and Processes: Oversee logistics and processes for ongoing training, ensuring smooth execution.
- Quality Control: Implement and manage quality control measures and continuous improvement processes for training content and delivery.
- Business Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to ensure training programs align with critical business priorities.
- Onboarding Improvement: Enhance onboarding procedures for new hires.
- Gap Analysis: Use metrics to identify business gaps and apply appropriate training solutions.
- Goal Alignment: Work with department leaders to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
- Efficiency Tracking: Monitor department efficiency using key performance indicators.
- Scalable Systems: Develop scalable training systems to boost operational success.
- Procedure Documentation: Collaborate across departments to document procedures.
- Strategy Implementation: Create and implement training strategies within each department.
- Training Plans: Develop and manage training plans including curriculum creation, instructor selection, and budget setting.
- Evaluation: Review course evaluations to assess relevance and effectiveness of training content and instructors.
- Compliance: Ensure training programs meet legal requirements and industry standards.
- Strategic Consultation: Consult with senior management to align training programs with strategic goals.
- On-site Training: Oversee training implementation at client locations or offsite settings.
- Research and Innovation: Research new training methodologies and technologies for workplace applications.
- Program Design: Create training programs that address company goals and improve employee performance.
- Internal Communication: Maintain contact with internal clients to identify training needs.
- Instructor Coordination: Coordinate with HR to hire instructors and schedule training sessions.
 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in designing and delivering training programs.
- Proven track record in successful program implementation and management.
- Experience in developing eLearning courses and digital learning content.
- Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to training.
- Ability to design, develop, and implement training programs in various formats.
- Competence in assessing training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, or performance data analysis.
- Skill in creating instructional materials such as manuals, multimedia presentations, and job aids.
- Proficiency in selecting and administering various training methods.
- Experience in scheduling training sessions, arranging facilities and equipment, and coordinating with speakers or instructors.
- Capability to deliver training to large groups, lead discussions, and conduct role-playing activities.
- Ability to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of training programs.
- Budget management skills for the training department.
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments in adult education and instructional design.
- Experience supervising a team of training specialists, coordinators, and instructional designers.
- Expertise in company policies and procedures.
- Collaborative approach to developing training programs that support organizational goals.
