Job Description: Munger Place Director of Communications
This is a full time position that provides a salary commensurate with experience and outstanding benefits in a truth and grace filled work environment.
The Director of Communications at Munger Place Church leads the communications department using in-house and third party team members, while overseeing the week-to-week execution of current communications projects and initiatives and planning for the future.

This is a Full-time position that will work an anticipated 36 hours per week.
Anticipated Schedule:
Monday – Thursday from 8:30am - 5:00pm (includes 30 min unpaid lunch); and Sunday from 8:00am-12:30pm.
During certain times of the year additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the church. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include the items listed below, plus other duties as required or assigned.Supervise and manage the designers, copywriters, and videographers, proactively allocate resources, manage the creative team's workload, and ensure deadlines are met.Prepare comprehensive content and communications strategies that align with Munger’s goals and drive high engagementWorks with the staff and leadership of Munger to ensure positive and active communication of the core priorities, events, fundraising efforts, serving initiatives, and celebratory moments/ministry stories and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.Identifies how to evolve both internal and external brand storytelling elements that resonate with employees and church members and help build brand advocacy and the brand over time.Builds project processes to ensure deliverables are of the highest quality and have been through the proper proofing and approvals, as well as user testing and quality assurance.Manages vendor relationships (outside agencies, web development, printers, etc.) to ensure the church receives the best pricing for quality services and production.Manage outsourced projects while working with agencies and contractors.Plan and manage communication strategies across multiple channels and mediums in support of the mission of Munger Place Church. Ensure the voice and brand are consistent with standards and guides, as well as AP Style. Create and maintain any guides if needed.Exercise creativity and judgment to prioritize communications strategies across multiple projects under sometimes limited timeframes.Serve as communications advisor to Munger Place staff.Oversee the day-to-day activities of the communications function including budgeting, planning, and team development / management.Manage all social media channels for the church.Keep website information and events updated and easily accessed.Manage recurring weekly communications such as newsletter, bulletin, etc.Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree and 10+ years relevant experience or a Masters degree in marketing/business administration is desiredExperience leading diverse, cross-functional communications teams (social media, design, web, print, project management, etc.)Additional individual experience with content writing, print and email marketing, website management, SEO/SEM and social media platforms a plusOther Qualifications:
