** Inn Lounge Expeditor and Server Assistant- Part Time****Job Category****:** Lodging Food Beverage **Requisition Number****:** INNLO007854 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description**Assist Servers and Supervisors in providing quality food and beverage service to guests courteously and efficiently. Responsible for the expediting and transportation and delivery of ordered and prepared food to our guests. Stocks and maintains all items needed for food running during work shift. Also, assists in the maintenance of the dining room, side stations, kitchen service areas, dish breakdown area and service equipment. **($15 - $20/hour or more based on business volume and including tips)*** Status depends on current availability:+ Flex: a position working between 20-29 hours per week (between 1000 - 1559 hours/year).**Schedules can vary, but will generally work either 3:00pm - 11:00pm or 10:30am - 4:00pm.****Requirements:**1. Previous experience in a similar position is strongly preferred, particularly in a finedining or upscale restaurant.2. Commitment to delivering world class guest service internally and externally and the ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.3. Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to perform essential job functions withspeed and accuracy.4. Strong organizational and time management skills5. Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with deadlines, andexercise good judgment.7. Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with other team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of food delivery.**Physical Requirements:**1. Lift, carry, push, and pull 25-50 pounds, lift and carry 25-50 pounds on a largeserving tray, above shoulder level, upstairs, with one hand.2. Endure various physical movements throughout work areas and over duration ofwork shift.3. Ability to work in an environment that may include: variable temperature conditionsand noise levels, outdoor environments, and exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals.4. Due to the location of the Dining Room and Kitchen, the candidate will need to carry items, with the use of a tray, 250 feet, including 28 steps. This will be the most physically demanding aspect of the position and cannot be avoided.**Essential Job Duties:**1. To deliver and serve the correct food items promptly to the appropriate guests.2. To offer appropriate condiments table side with courses, i.e.: fresh ground pepper.3. Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and maintain positive guest relations at all times.4. To assist servers and bartenders with the removal of soiled trays, glassware, dishes and flatware from the floor.5. To communicate any requests obtained from guests to their server and/or bartender and kitchen.6. Ability to carry trays at shoulder level upstairs.7. Memorization of all seat and table numbers to ensure delivery without the need to ask the guests their orders.8. Proper stocking and maintenance of essential items needed for service i.e. plates, dishes, ect.9. Checking in with culinary team prior to the beginning of each shift for information pertinent to the smooth flow of service.10. Reviewing the menu and becoming thoroughly familiar with all items and menus of preparation being offered that day, including the ingredients, preparation, sauces, and garnishes.11. Asking the guests if there is anything else they would like prior to leaving the table. If there is an additional request from the guest, the Food Runner/ Expediter will either bring this item directly to the table or communicate the guest's needs to the server.12. Assisting in closing down the line and cleaning the kitchen.13.
