What is the position?The Designer will be responsible for delivering designs and bills of materials for an oil & gas company.What will you do?As a Designer, you will:Use CAD to create and revise electrical, mechanical, or structural designs for facilities based on engineer requirements.Monitor multiple drafting/design projects in an efficient and timely manner, using both 2D and 3D applications.Deliver bills of materials for various designs.Read and interpret documents such as drawings and project specifications.Ensure accuracy of drawings regarding regulatory and safety compliance, reviewing drawings of other design team members.What are the requirements?Associate's Degree or trade school completion in design/drafting, CAD, or related field, OR Bachelor's Degree in engineering2+ years drafting experienceAutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and PDM software experienceMS Office SkillsUnderstanding of piping/structural detailing and controls/electrical drafting preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to learn about piping and drilling rig equipmentAbility to occasionally travelYou would be really happy working here if:You can be counted on in crucial times, possessing great focus while completing projects successfully and efficiently.You are left-brained and understand that the devil's in the details, proactively seeking them out and understanding how they contribute to the whole of a project.
