Description: PR Consulting is a brand strategy and public relations agency that specializes in developing and communicating authentic narratives to position companies and individuals across multi-platform channels. Our company is currently seeking talented candidates for our Lifestyle team, specifically for an Associate Director within the Culinary and Hospitality Division. They will join a team leading strategic communications planning and programming for restaurants and luxury hotel/hospitality clients. The ideal candidate must possess a drive to generate and successfully implement strategic and creative ideas while being efficient, effective, and professional. This individual must have a positive attitude, a desire to exceed expectations, and an understanding of the cultural landscape. This candidate will be part of PR Consulting’s Lifestyle team in New York and report directly to the Executive Director of Culinary. Responsibilities:
Ideate and execute innovative and comprehensive brand building strategies that are unique to each client’s objectives. Build narratives surrounding brand projects and create opportunities for newsworthy moments. Identify emerging digital platforms and unique thought-leadership opportunities. Secure consistent coverage across traditional, digital, and new media. Maintain media & KOL relationships at the highest level. Offer clients thoughtful recommendations on social & marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness. Partner with in-house teams to ensure integrated communications across all channels. Lead daily client communication as the primary contact with the ability to present strategies and feedback on all client inquiries. Craft messaging, press releases, and other written collateral. Ideate and execute VIP/Media events, activations, and press trips to support client activity. Manage junior team to ensure day-to-day responsibilities are fulfilled, deliverables are met, and mentor their professional development. Maintain a solid understanding of hospitality, food & beverage trends, as well as the overall lifestyle landscape. Requirements:
7-8 years experience with relevant brands in the restaurant, hotel, hospitality, travel, culinary, luxury, and lifestyle industries for both traditional and digital media. Exceptional relationships with culinary, hospitality, travel, lifestyle, and business media – both domestic and international. Interest in working across multiple luxury lifestyle industries. Proven track record in securing top tier coverage in print, online, broadcast, and new media. Strong grasp of the digital landscape. Confident management style with ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with clients, media, and colleagues. Capacity to troubleshoot and build creative solutions. Advanced written communication, leadership, and presentation skills. Strong work ethic, sense of team, and willingness to collaborate. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to confidently multi-task and manage others to perform multiple duties in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
