Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO)

offers live performances, media initiatives and learning programs that unite, educate and enrich our community.

The Grammy® Award-winning ASO performs over 150 concerts each year, including the flagship Delta Classical Series, Movies in Concert, Family Concerts, Coca-Cola Holiday series and many community and education concerts. The ASO presents many vibrant, wide-ranging events and artists through its Delta Atlanta Symphony Hall Live presentations. Outside of the concert hall, the ASO's Behind the Curtain video concert series enables the Orchestra to reach audiences beyond city limits.

Job Description

This position will be focused on graphic production support for our marketing channels, both print and digital. The Graphic Production Artist will work cross-functionally with the ASO Marketing Department and other internal divisions in a deadline-driven environment to create and manipulate graphics in support of the ASO's strategic goals. The ideal candidate for this role would possess proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Graphic Production Artist will use both their technical and design skills to create impactful products (for print and digital - advertising, signage, website, email, social media, etc.) More specifically:Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software: InDesign, Photoshop, IllustratorExecute the creation, formatting, versioning, editing and final release of graphic materialsProvide photo retouching, color correction, clipping paths and additional image manipulationBuild/create assets to supplied specifications - ensuring consistency to project and brand guidelinesCollaborate with team members to ensure design concepts are executed as plannedReview and proof assets before the projects are marked as completeWork with outside vendors and troubleshoot prepress issuesCreate and access content in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Access images in file-sharing programs (MS SharePoint and Dropbox)Follow a system of organization using workflow management software (Asana) to ensure timely delivery of assetsAdditional Attributes

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Graphic DesignMust provide a link to an online portfolio

Schedule

10-15 hours per week

On-site Tuesdays and Thursdays during normal business hours.

Pay

$15 per hour
