This position is primarily responsible for planning a variety of annual and ad-hoc fundraising events as well as tactical fulfillment of marketing initiatives, promotions, public relations, special 3rd-party events, and much more. This position requires a highly motivated, organized and resourceful individual who possesses exceptional oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and uses critical thinking skills to successfully navigate the demands of this important position.

Works with influential community leaders, volunteer event planning committees, hotels and other event venues, event volunteers, corporate/individual/civic donors, elected officials, all internal staff members and departments, print/lettershop vendors, a variety of event-oriented vendors that include florists, caterers, retail outlets, and more, as well as Meals On Wheels clients and other community representatives.

AGENCY EXPECTATION OF EMPLOYEE- Maintain confidentiality of client, donor, volunteer, staff and board information- Support the mission, vision and goals of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County- Represent Meals On Wheels in a professional manner at all times- Must have dependable transportation, valid driver license and personal vehicle insurance as required by the State of Texas- Required to pass criminal background check and have a free and clear MVR- Assist with meal delivery when volunteer callouts make it necessary for staff to deliver- Contribute to other projects when necessary

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS

Marketing- Create informative and compelling content for digital and print publications- Work with VP Marketing & Communications and the Marketing & PR Specialist to develop unique and effective marketing campaigns- Adhere to and promote all Agency branding guidelines- Manage ad-hoc projects as assigned by VP Marketing & Communications- Create and develop email campaigns and individual emails for marketing various needs, projects, events and overall organization awareness- Update website pages, images and media- Film and edit compelling video content- Research and discover marketing vendors for various projects and needs- Communicate and maintain relationships with marketing vendors- Create effective email campaigns for a variety of events, supply drives, fundraisers, volunteer recruitment, and agency updates- Create marketing and budget reports and summaries- Brainstorm ways to build public awareness and acquire new donors- Assist Marketing department and the Marketing & PR Specialist with the development of social media marketing posts- Act as support to the VP Marketing & Communications and the Marketing & PR Specialist- Attend fairs, expos and other events to provide resources and information to the local community and increase awareness- Actively pursue and give public presentations about Meals On Wheels to businesses and social/civic groups:Maintain knowledge of all aspects of the Agency and its operationsDesign and maintain an agency overview presentationEnsure agency overview presentation is up to date with current information- Provide tours for guests, elected officials, and members of the media- Plan client 100+ birthday celebrations by coordinating with clients' families and case manager to provide a celebration appropriate for the client's cognitive and physical health. Look for compelling story angles and pitch to media when appropriate.- Assist with holiday card graphic selection and promoting sales on social media- Ensure donor recognition for large donations on social media- Attend Chamber meetings across the county and maintain strong relationships with other nonprofits, businesses and community leaders.- Plan and implement third-party fundraising promotions- Develop and organize ad-hoc and project committees- Plan and/or attend ad-hoc committees, project committees, marketing, and development council committees- Develop internal marketing materials, decorations, or other as they come needs- Work with other departments to help with their marketing needs

Events- Responsible for planning and managing events from start to finish, including annual golf tournament, clay shoot, luncheons, galas, cocktail events, seated dinners, third-party events, education luncheons and internal events- Plan and manage event budgets and work closely with event chairs to structure events and develop a good working relationship- Recruit and oversee event-planning committees and develop event day timelines- Create committee meeting materials including agendas, budget worksheets, committee binders, to-do lists and timelines- Receive and track event sponsorship payments and work with finance and donor records coordinators to ensure finances are reported correctly- Work with finance to send invoices and get vendor payments processed- Develop event pages and ticket sponsorship opportunities online for digital purchasing- Sell sponsorships, underwriting opportunities and tickets for all events- Promote events and fundraising efforts through all relevant internal and external marketing channels- Solicit donations from community partners and local business owners for auction items- Coordinate with vendors, volunteers, and guests on event schedule and timeline- Build creative content for event emails, invitations, save-the-dates, sponsorship forms, social media needs and advertisements- Work with local and nationwide vendors for events and local businesses to develop and plan third-party events- Market all fundraising and third-party events through various social media, email, in-person communication and marketing materials- Create event reports, summaries and request, gather, organize, and package auction items and donations- Input auction items and raffle items into programs and track activity- Gather all event decorations, marketing materials, signs, give-away items, auction items, programs, etc. and coordinate transportation of them from office to event- Create floor plans and set-up strategies- Manage and execute all set-up, decorations, seating charts, and details of event day set up- Run behind-the-scenes activities to make events flow effortlessly- Resolve any problems that arise at events- Plan day-of event registration and assign check-in duties to staff and volunteers- Delegate tasks to committee members, staff and volunteers for all event needs prior to and on the day of the event- Responsible for handling money from donations and for organizing finances throughout the entire event process- Work with vendors to get all event materials coordinated and printedProjects and Campaigns- Manage the marketing side of the Silver Santa campaign, including inputting wishes into the program, marketing the campaign on all platforms, tracking activity, reporting activity to Client Assistance, donor record coordinators, and Finance- Participate in committee for a client connectivity project which was responsible for developing a technology plan for clients to connect digitally- Research images for our holiday cards, plan marketing and internal selection meetings, help create cards, send to printer, help market the holiday card campaign via in-home mailers and digital marketing efforts, work with donor record coordinators on sales and mailing needs- Support the Public Relations Specialist with North Texas Giving Day planning and marketing campaigns- Help execute the Subaru Share the Love campaign by assisting in marketing needs, developing relationships with Subaru, decorating Subaru offices, and help coordinate Subaru volunteer efforts- Research and discover potential marketing vendors and partners for various projects

Donors- Develop and maintain positive relationships with corporate and individual donors- Nurture business relationships by making donor visits and delivering marketing materials and gifts

Clients- Go to clients' homes and interview, take pictures and/or deliver items- Search and input client information in the client database- Coordinate with Client Assistance Manager and/or case managers when working on projects that involve clients

QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

REQUIREMENTS- Exceptional oral and written communication skills- Above average interpersonal communication skills, including excellent group presentation and relationship management skills- Highly-motivated individual that excels both as an individual contributor and in a team environment- Excellent organizational and time-management skills- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator- Working knowledge of computer operations and software products including Word, Excel, ACCESS, Publisher, and Outlook- Proficiency with email marketing tools such as Constant Contact- Must be able to lift, load and unload 40 lbs

EXPERIENCE- Five years of relevant experience may be substituted for education- Experience in social media and email marketing- Experience with photography, photojournalism, and video editing preferred
