More than a slogan, we empower our employees to make positive impacts on the communities in which we live and work.The primary objective of the Vice President, Sales & Marketing Operations is to strategically oversee the Sales & Marketing Operations and Global Sales disciplines for the Sage Independent Collection portfolio of hotels within Sage Hotel Management. The goal is to maximize revenues through all channels, sales and marketing efforts which will ultimately provide the best possible return on investment for our owners and equity partners.Responsibilities

Exhibit leadership competencies that create vision, provide direction and drive the success of the company’s direct sales and marketing efforts.Lead strategic planning, development, and coordination of business initiatives and strategies for the Sage Hotel Management division.Oversee communication to customers related to the long-term vision and strategies.Facilitate the development of a strategic sales and marketing approach that follows a standardized process.Partner with property leadership to provide advice, guidance and support for various sales functions.Monitor and review property business plans and results on a quarterly basis.Assist Corporate DOSM Operations, DOSM and GM in providing strategic guidance for Local and Banquet Catering F&B revenues.Ensure the value of the franchise investment is maximized.Provide sales resources and ensure they are applied on a cost-effective, property-specific basis.Evaluate, identify, and implement appropriate sales automation for hotel activity.Ensure coordinated efforts around sharing value-added best practices and procedures.Execute accurate, professional market studies as requested.Support General Managers and the Operations team with thoughtful analytics.Identify potential challenges that could impact the business in the future.Annual Plan review – Provide detailed review of the annual budget and forecasts.Ensure a qualified sales team is in place to implement the properties’ plans.Coordinate the completion of group rooms, banquet F&B and Local F&B goals.Mentor and develop high potential talent for the organization.Implement succession planning within each direct report.Benchmarking – Understand hotel performance standards and identify opportunities for improvement.Provide leadership oversight on special projects and new property openings.Ensure implementation of Sage SOP’s, sales and marketing systems and controls at new properties.Participate and maintain active company and community relations.Always represent yourself and the company with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.Perform any other assignments as directed by the organization or leadership.Supervisory Duties Corporate Directors, S&M; Corporate Directors, Global SalesEducation/Formal Training A four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.Experience 3-5 years of related experience in a director / VP level sales and marketing role in a hospitality environment.Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of computer equipment.Knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills.Excellent personal management skills.Must be extremely confidential and able to manage sensitive situations tactfully.Ability to work under pressure and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent problem solving and organizational abilities.Excellent mathematical skills.Physical Demands
