We offer raw poultry manure in bulk and dried manure pellets, along with a range of other products, both in person and online, which include farm equipment, dry fertilizer, and bagged products. Our services primarily target farmers, to whom we provide semi-hauling, manure/lime spreading, weed control, and agronomy.

Our Growth:

Due to significant growth recently, we are seeking a team member to oversee and coordinate our sales and marketing activities for our existing products and services. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for introducing and promoting new products, some of which are proprietary to CFS, and others that we have been approached to market and sell by other wholesalers. We seek a team member who is enthusiastic about growth and embracing new challenges. This role requires someone adept at utilizing diverse marketing approaches to identify customers in need and has strong sales skills to connect with customers without resorting to high-pressure or insincere sales strategies.

Position Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Director will be responsible for managing the personnel in the sales and marketing departments, with a special focus on building a marketing strategy and corresponding sales plan for new products and services. This person will need to understand the various aspects of today’s internet marketing and develop and track our marketing efforts with our marketing team to align with our sales needs. Working closely with our sales and marketing teams, they must coordinate with both departments to allocate marketing funds effectively and convert them into sales results. Simultaneously, they will also need to coordinate with the sales team, the operations department, and our vendors to ensure that our products and services are delivered or executed on time.

While the ability to confidently sell products to customers without using high pressure or sleight of hand is important, we are specifically seeking someone with natural skills in training and leading a sales force to operate in this manner through servant leadership. We are looking for an individual who is focused on personal growth and willing to utilize their strengths and work on personal weaknesses while encouraging and guiding those around them to do the same. While being driven is essential, it is crucial that this person is a team player and shares our company's core values.

Essential Job Functions:

Work with our marketing team to maintain and improve our marketing strategies for our current products and services.

Lead our marketing team in identifying new markets for our products and services and developing strategies to connect with them.

Track our marketing activities and correlate them with sales results to better support our sales team in identifying and nurturing leads.

Generate sales forecasts for both existing and new product and service lines.

Establish and oversee budgets for both our marketing and sales departments.

Assist in creating incentive plans for team members in both departments.

Provide leadership and training to our existing sales team.

Hire the right individuals to expand our marketing and sales teams, either from within or outside the company.

Cultivate new talent and dismiss personnel who do not align with our company's values.

Continually innovate new and update existing sales strategies while supporting the sales team in their efforts.

Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.

Ability to learn our current sales software- Pipedrive.

Willing to learn our team communication software- Ninety.io.

Basic knowledge of online marketing, including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.

Capable of taking initiative and working well in a team.

Willing to work on-site at the Cokato, MN office.

Minimum of 3 years of prior experience, preferably in both marketing and sales.
