Job Summary: 

Blavity Inc. is seeking a Director, Product Marketing to lead the marketing, positioning and launch strategy efforts for AfroTech’s product portfolio, including AfroTech Conference, AfroTech Connect, AfroTech Insider, and Talent Infusion. 

In this role, you will define and optimize the customer journey across products, ensuring a seamless flow and enhancing cross-product engagement. You will play a crucial role in defining market positioning and strategy, designing automated systems and communicating product value to both internal sales teams and clients. Your strategic leadership will drive go-to-market success and elevate AfroTech’s impact in the tech ecosystem. This Director, Product Marketing will report directly to Office of CEO with a dotted line to the SVP of AfroTech & Live Events. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Product Marketing Leadership: Develop and lead the overall product marketing strategy for AfroTech’s product portfolio
  • Customer Journey Optimization: Define and optimize the customer journey across AfroTech products, ensuring a seamless flow and enhancing cross-product engagement; Utilize customer insights and data to inform product positioning, messaging, and targeting
  • Market Positioning: Lead the positioning of AfroTech’s offerings in the market, ensuring that each product resonates with its target audience and stands out in a competitive landscape; Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends and competitive landscape
  • Client Engagement: Act as a client-facing leader, working closely with sales teams to understand client needs and refine product messaging accordingly
  • Data-Driven Strategy: Utilize market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to inform product marketing strategies and decisions, particularly for the Talent Infusion SaaS platform
  • Content Strategy: Oversee the creation of compelling content that communicates the value of AfroTech products, including thought leadership pieces, marketing collateral, and customer education materials
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Creative, and Product Development to drive the success and growth of our products
  • Product Launches: Lead the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring successful market entry and customer adoption
  • Launch Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature releases

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree
  • Required Experience:
    • 5+ years in B2B product marketing
    • Strong understanding of GTM strategies and competitive product positioning
    • Proven track record in innovative marketing solutions and campaign management
    • Expert in client presentations and content creation
    • Proficient with Salesforce or comparable CRMs
    • Experience in digital marketing
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Sales support or integrated marketing roles
    • Work experience in sales-driven industries
  • Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana, and/or comparable project management suite
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Data-driven, technically savvy, with strong problem-solving skills
    • Entrepreneurial mindset; adaptable to evolving marketing strategies
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively
    • Appreciation for GIFs and Black culture

Details: 

  • This is a fully remote role, U.S.- based role. Occasional travel may be required. 
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Candidates must be available to work at least 50% in alignment with the Pacific Time Zone. 
  • The annual salary range for this role is $130,00 - $150,000.
