Western Digital is on the hunt for a design aficionado with a deep understanding of User Experience (UX), a knack for creating striking key art for the modern web, and a passion for cutting-edge design trends. As part of the UX design team, you’ll engage in creative brainstorming within a highly collaborative setting, simplifying intricate requirements into elegant design solutions, producing key art, and iterating from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes. Your portfolio should showcase your exceptional web design skills, proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as your adeptness with the latest UX tools.

Your role will require not only strong understanding of transactional web design but deep understanding of typography, layout, color, and composition skills. Familiarity with animation, motion graphics, and basic video editing skills will be beneficial.

Make thoughtful and innovative design decisions together with fellow designers, researchers, engineers, producers, copywriters, and other functions.

Utilize, expand, document and creating new patterns within our vast design system while keeping in mind the big picture.

Realistically communicate page flows, animations, and other interactive elements of your design to stakeholders and engineering.

Collaborate with UX researchers to test designs with real users.

Seamlessly infuse Western Digital’s brand identity, visuals, and tone of voice into all digital communications including email campaigns, seasonal, evergreen, and core digital content.

Adhere to our platform-specific guidelines while exercising discretion to deviate when appropriate.

Produce design documentation and work with engineering team to implement it assuring the final product matches your specifications.

Present creative vision, concepts, and completed designs to leadership, stakeholders, and peers.
