Public Relations Associate Vice President – Consumer Lifestyle PR

is part of our FINN Partners NY, NY Office’s Consumer Lifestyle and Sports Public Relations practice. This is a USA remote work role, and we seek qualified applicants who currently reside in either the USA Eastern, Central or Pacific USA time zones. We have one job opening – it can either be filled at this PR AVP level, or at a PR Account Supervisor level (please see that separate job ad for details and that salary range).

Our Consumer Lifestyle PR team at Finn Partners is one of the best in the industry! We seek a leader to join us who is passionate about communications, ready to roll up their sleeves, and contribute to the success of the team. This is an opportunity to work with exciting clients (active outdoor brands and destinations, sports, wellness, food and beverage, athlete programs, etc.), where you will oversee planning and execution of client programs and grow new PR business. You will work with regional, national and international consumer public relations clients.

Applicants must have 6+ years of prior consumer public relations agency-based experience

to effectively manage and grow PR client campaigns and deliver excellent media results for our clients. This position will also pursue, develop, and lead new business presentations, manage and cultivate PR staff members, and help set the tone for how the business is managed. The role will report to and collaborate directly with Senior Partners in the CLS PR practice.

Responsibilities:Lead the execution of integrated and successful public relations campaigns/programs that exceed client goalsMaintain clear and consistent communications; provide proper direction and counsel; and offer problem-solving solutions to clientsDevelop and grow senior client relationshipsLead internal teams and drive their growth; provide proper feedback and guidance; motivate to be creative and achieve excellent resultsReview and develop press materials, including but not limited to press releases, media advisories, key messages, Q&As, and executive remarksDevelop overall communications media strategy for clients; manage profitability and financial aspects of accountsUtilize excellent contacts to secure consistent media coverage across a wide range of consumer, F&B, business, lifestyle, and news publicationsEstablish new media contacts to expand reach across print, online, TV, social, radio and podcastsGenerate new business opportunities and help secure new clients; research, and participate in new business presentations; develop RFPs that showcase our unique capabilities and proven results

Requirements:6+ years of prior PR leadership roles focused on consumer public relations strategies and program executionBachelor's degree in public relations, or communications related field required. MBA or post-graduate degree a plusProven history of leading PR teams and driving resultsExceptional media relations with many top-tier national and trade outlets; proven history of media placements and established contactsAbility to develop and execute successful media relations programsExcellent writing and editing skills (familiar with AP style).Strong communications skills, project management capabilities and proven problem-solving abilityAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlinesEffectively work as part of a team, share information freely and support the common goals of the group. Salary range is $90,000 - $100,000. The salary offered will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and dependent upon the workplace.
