We are seeking an experienced
UI/UX Designer
to join our programming team in Boulder. As UI/UX Designer at Ascend Analytics, you will be responsible for designing functional, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly interfaces and websites.

Responsibilities
Identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needsEnsure the creation and implementation of customized experiences for our usersProduce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards, mock-ups, and site mapsProvide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behaviorMaintain a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trendsUnderstand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for bothQualifications:
Required :A BS or higher is required in User-Centered Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.Confidently use React or RazorGather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineersIllustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemapsDesign graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgetsBuild page navigation buttons and search fieldsDevelop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and lookCreate original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables)Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholdersIdentify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedbackAdhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and imagesPreferred:
Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar rolePortfolio of design projects - especially complex, web-based UI designsKnowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopTeam spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholdersGood time-management skillsInterest or experience in energy, particularly renewablesUnjaded and positive attitude
Compensation ($80,000 - $120,000)
Negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Ascend highly values our employees and often pays above industry average.
