Level 1

- Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate, timely, in the correct manner (i.e. verbal, written, email, etc.)

Level 2

- Consistently achieves all of the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to level 1 positions.

Senior

- Highly experienced in the position. Advanced awareness of the technical needs of both the controls system programming, integration to other systems, and very sophisticated HVAC strategies if working in the control field. May act as a lead to assist others on very complex project tasks. Also provides mentoring and direct supervision when required on projects.

Position Summary:

The Graphics Design Specialist works with the project teams to develop graphical interface screens for building automation system operator workstations.

Responsibilities:

Read/understand mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and controller databases to produce Graphical User Interfaces.

Create solutions to improve the quality/cost efficiency of the graphics.

Create visual graphics to support the sales department

Provide input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation of required time to complete the proposed project

Communicate with project managers and specialists to improve the usability of the graphics

Communicate with external organizations as required to ensure accurate documentation is utilized in the creation of graphics

Assist in identifying inefficiencies in the graphics creation process and to help develop solutions to address such inefficiencies.

3D rendering, Revit, ACAD, and image editing/Photoshop experience is an asset.

The ability to visualize and implement design solutions in an efficient a cost-efficient environment

A strong, clean visual design sense

High level of attention to detail

Excellent time-management skills

Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

1+ years of experience with Industrial Graphic Design in a professional environment.

Full working knowledge of both 2D and 3D graphic disciplines. (Photoshop, Blender, etc.)

Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)

Full working knowledge of MS Office Suite Programs and Tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two-year technical degree in HVAC or Electronics related studies. An undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical is a plus.

Some HVAC experience and/or mechanical aptitude

Experience reading and interpreting building mechanical documentation (M-sheets, P-sheets, E-sheets)

Proven proficiency in both 2D and 3D industrial graphic disciplines. (ACAD, Revit, Photoshop, Blender, etc.)

Experience with DDC controls a plus (Alerton, Distech, Tridium, Niagara)

Essential Functions:

Be able to lift and carry drawings, personal computers, material, etc.

Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle

Be able to spend a significant amount of time sitting
