NAJob Posting Summary The Speech and Hearing Center at Mercy University, Dobbs Ferry Campus is seeking a Part-time Clinical Educator to supervise graduate student clinicians beginning Spring 2024 Semester. Preferred specialty in childhood apraxia of speech and/or speech sound disorders.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide direct clinical supervision treatment sessionsComply with the ASHA standards of supervision for in-person and remote sessionsAdhere to ASHA and NYS ethical standards for clinical practice in speech-language pathologyAssist students to provide clinical services in a culturally competent manner, using client-centered and family-centered practicesMeet individually with student clinicians at least weekly and as needed. Includes planning and orientation for new casesProvide both summative and formative constructive feedback to the studentEdit student clinical documentationSchedule and complete student conferences at midterm and finalEnsure students have maintained accurate clinical records and clock hours (lesson plans, SOAP notes, treatment plans and progress reports)Approve clinic clock hours on CalipsoEvaluate students' clinical competencies on CALIPSOSubmit grade recommendations to the Clinic Director at midterm and finalQualifications

Master's degreeCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), New York State Licensure required. At least 3 years of supervision experience preferredClinical Educators are required to complete 2 hours of continuing education on clinical supervisionCompensation offered will be commensurate with the educational background and work experience of the individual.Mercy University promotes a community campus environment.
