SUMMARY

This position represents the senior management role responsible for developing, implementing, executing, and managing the marketing initiatives for the organization. The purpose of this position is to plan and implement initiatives in order to meet company targets for growth, retention and profitability, and to contribute to the senior management of the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Serves as a key member of the senior management team in contributing to the company’s strategic direction and formulation of tactics to meet set objectives.

• Lead, plan, implement and manage existing and new marketing communications initiatives directly and through company resources in an effective and aggressive manner that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy. These include but not limited to;

o Advertising & Marketing Campaign & Program Development

o Digital Initiatives

o Customer Segment Strategies

o Content Development

o RFI, RFP, RFQ Facilitation

o Customer Experience Management

o Revenue Growth Efforts

• Plan and manage marketing organization resources according to agreed budgets.

• Be the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture, and values of the marketing team, through personal example, and to establish the style and approach which will characterize the Company’s dealings with customers and the marketplace. This includes recruitment, management, training, and motivating direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy, and employment law.

• Contribute to new service and product development planning and management.

• Define the appropriate marketing organization structure that aligns with the company’s strategic direction and goals.

• Lead the marketing strategic planning including corporate positioning and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans.

• Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and for lead tracking and management.

• Work closely with business unit leaders to develop and manage partner strategies and programs that complement business development success and customer retention.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

• Is responsible for the Marketing team, which may include the Marketing Manager, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Contractors, Suppliers and others.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related degree and 15 years’ experience in related fields across several functional areas including sales, marketing, customer service, or the like. Minimum 5-7- years in management with demonstrated success in senior / executive level positions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend documents written in English to an above average competency. Must be a very competent writer and evaluator of business letters and proposals. Able to communication and motivate effectively via oral conversation and written media.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure at an Intermediate to Advanced level. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Able to understand profit and loss calculations, as well as more advanced business finance, eg., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash flow, and overheads.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Intermediate level requirement in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Advance Level preferred). Minimum keyboard skill level of 40 wpm. Must be proficient in electronic communication and applications.
