Job Description

Our product teams at Merkle are passionate about building products that directly affect people's lives. We are seeking a LEAD UX Designer-TEMPORARY to work with both the design team and our development teams to produce engaging, intuitive, enjoyable user experiences for end-users. Reporting to the Director, User Experience, you will participate in product discovery and delivery. You will work with our clients to understand their needs and with end-users to understand their goals. Working with the Product Owner, you will help develop a product vision. You will create product solutions and present them to the design team, the development team, end-users, and partners, to collect feedback and iterate toward the best solution. You will establish patterns and create familiar experiences that reduce the end-user's cognitive load. This is a TEMPORARY role from 9/30/2024-12/31/2024, 40 hours per week. There is a chance that this position could convert to a permanent role in the future.

Responsibilities within your role will include:

Project Leadership: Lead UX design projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client objectives and user needs.

User Research: Support UX Researchers in comprehensive user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.

Design Creation: Develop wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and other UX deliverables to effectively communicate ideas.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with client partners, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and user-centered design solutions.

Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

Design Project Management: Help define and meet deadlines and deliverables timelines.

Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback.
