This is an on-campus role based on-site. While this role is in-person, the Graphic Designer will also regularly engage with remote team members and participate in virtual meetings for training, direction, and project coordination.

Job Summary

Are you a creative and detail-oriented graphic designer with a passion for visual storytelling and digital design?

The Graduate Programs & Executive Education department at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah is seeking a part-time Visual Designer to join our Enrollment Marketing team. In this role, you will create engaging, brand-aligned visuals to drive enrollment for our graduate programs and executive education offerings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a designer skilled in both print and digital media, with a focus on editorial and UX design. You will collaborate closely with our marketing team, working on everything from promotional materials and social media graphics to swag design and event collateral.

Responsibilities

Design marketing materials

, including print collateral, digital ads, social media graphics, and email templates, ensuring alignment with university and program branding.

Collaborate with the marketing team

to create cohesive, visually appealing content across a variety of platforms.

Develop creative concepts

that engage prospective students and alumni, enhancing the brand identity of our programs.

Assist with the design and coordination

of program swag, including placement proofs, order approvals, and vendor communication.

Design and update printed materials

and promotional items for events and outreach efforts.

Support the development of web

and UX design elements for program websites.

Maintain a consistent design aesthetic

across all materials, adhering to branding guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences

Proven experience

as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing both print and digital work.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

(Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and other design tools.

Experience in UX and editorial design

, with an understanding of layout, typography, and digital interfaces.

Strong attention to detail

, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Experience working with vendors

, placing orders, and managing the production process for swag and printed materials.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

, particularly with remote teams.

Experience in higher education marketing

or a related field is a plus.

Familiarity with web design

, CMS platforms, and basic HTML is beneficial.

Passion for design trends
