Position SummaryThe Senior Manager of Art and Graphic Design is a strategic visionary who leads the development of creative concepts and campaigns for Public Strategies. This role requires a blend of artistic talent, leadership skills, and business acumen to drive brand identity, messaging, and visual storytelling. The Senior Manager of Art and Graphic Design oversees creative teams, collaborates with cross-functional departments, and ensures that all creative output aligns with business objectives.Essential Job FunctionsCollaborate with senior management, account managers, and clients on the development of strategic, brand-centered marketing initiatives for PS and its various clientsResearch innovative styles and techniques that are appropriate for delivering impactful and relevant messaging to diverse target audiencesLead the creative direction in the development and final execution of conceptual design solutions to successfully translate concepts through a variety of media platforms, including brand identity systems, print, digital communications, motion graphics, web graphics, and the likeBuild coalitions at all levels of the organization, as well as with clients and vendorsCreate, implement, and manage processes that drive effectiveness among the design teamManage a team of graphic designers, elevating and inspiring team members, fostering open collaboration as well as independent thinkingMust truly lead by exampleFoster a culture of teamwork, excellence and respectMust be intuitively adept and agile to new or changing projects, systems, roles and/or technologyPrioritize, organize, and maintain a heavy workload in a fast-paced and changing environment to meet all deadlinesEffectively articulate creative vision and concept, both verbally and visually, while being open to receiving feedback from team and clients, making revisions as neededOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/TrainingBachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, requiredWill consider 4+ years work experience (in addition to below experience) in lieu of degree
Experience8+ years of graphic design experience producing and managing print and digital creative, from conception to fruition, with meticulous attention to detail5 years' experience leading creative teamsExperience with creating and maintaining websitesUI/UX experience preferredHuman-centered design experience preferred
