Introduction

As a

SharePoint UX Designer,

you'll elicit user insights and business requirements and create design concepts/specifications that optimize the emotional and functional experience of

Microsoft SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and other applications.

You'll produce visual and interaction designs for SharePoint, working with technical and project teams to ensure the successful implementation of user interfaces that align with business and user requirements.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop, test, and implement Modern SharePoint user interfaces, including wireframes and design compositions using industry standard tools such as Figma and Adobe Photoshop to conceptualize ideas and approach.Implement designs and interfaces.Research and analyze customer feedback for incorporation into product enhancements, new product designs, and overall design language and strategy.Produce and validate product design specifications and production requirements. Negotiate design solutions in relation to business goals.Contribute to broader design system, increasing its adoption and consistent usage.Lead meetings, interviews, and workshops with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and users.Ensure project deliverables and activities are completed on time, to the specified requirements, and are of high quality.Location and travel details

This is a remote opportunity with some travel to the client site

Travel to the People's Republic of China is prohibited for this role

Work must be performed from within the continental United States

Required for this opportunity

Have at least two years of Modern SharePoint design experience.Experience applying front-end design technologies such as Canvas apps, SPFx, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Ability to understand how users need to meet business performance outcomes and process requirements and translate that into designs that engineers can implement.Understanding of information architecture, design systems, visual designs built on components, human-centered design, design thinking, and agile methods.Demonstrated client-services orientation in evolving situations. Able to work effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels of a client organization and internally.Listen and communicate detailed technical information effectively, verbally and in writing, in English. Strong technical writing and presentation skills.Understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and Section 508 and incorporating those standards into design assets.Proven ability to focus on end-to-end user experiences, empathizing and balancing experiences with business and technical tradeoffs.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.Nice to have skills

PhP PowerShellExperience designing for print & presentations in addition to interaction and visual design for applications and websites.Familiarity with user research methods such as interviews and contextual inquiry to articulate business and user needs.Experience creating journey maps, user job aids, scenarios, requirements, and task flows in support of creating interaction design assets.Knowledge of industry tools (i.e. Axure, InVision, Adobe Experience Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.) or equivalent.
