Founded in 1972, DSC provides educational, professional, residential and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. Director of Development and Communications .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Director of Development and Communications at DSC, you will be a member of a team that is responsible for coordinating and completing development activities, including fundraising, planned giving, community education programs, public relations activities, and special projects.
Each day, you will carry out a variety of rewarding work where you will play an integral role in the success of the company and our mission to support people to live a rich and meaningful life.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years related work experience preferred
Proven success in leading fundraising programs
Supervisory experience desirable
Ability to work cooperatively with staff, volunteers, community personnel and leaders, and Board of Directors
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of community resources, programs, services and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities
Experience with donor database a
plus
HOURS:
Full-time, 40 hours a week; Must be flexible to work a variety of hours during periods leading up to fundraising events.
