Position Summary:

CPI Security, a leader in the security and automation solutions industry, is looking for a Director, Digital Design & User Experience to join our growing team! This position is responsible for the strategic direction and management of multi-device user experiences for CPI Security. He/she will be a thought leader on web and mobile digital experiences and drive experiential alignment with Brand marketing, Digital Marketing, CRM, Product, and Ecommerce. You will act as a champion for usability and user centric design in the organization by defining the UX research, design and development process. The position will lead and own the end-to-end user experience ensuring frictionless user interactions that drive true business value. You will play a leading role in our mission to protect our customers and what matters most to them.

Essential Functions

Accountable for the UX and optimization and execution focused on designing and measuring leading user experience balancing user intent, business needs, and site/mobile performance

Defines and establishes UX metrics and reporting

Sets the strategic direction for regular usability/UX research

Advocates for and educates the business on how to leverage user experience design and development specialists and business analysts to drive the product roadmap forward through mentoring, training and external best practice learning

Owns the creative/visual designs, user experience and digital performance analytics and user research

Oversight of UX Design and Development

Researches, formulates, and shares best practices and standards for UX research and development of user experiences

Drives the UX and optimization strategy focused on designing and measuring leading user experience balancing user intent, business needs, and site performance

Advocates for new technologies, techniques, and keeps on top of the latest design tools to be able to apply these as needed

Partners with the Product Management team to define user experience vision, product feature pipeline, business goals, requirements, and functional needs

Leverages interactive design, information architecture, and visual design to develop and continuously optimize a best-in-class user experience for both web and mobile channel

Drives innovative solutions and UX designs within platform constraints and technical limitations to enable easy user interaction

Leads integration of digital platforms, defining functionality, navigation, and interaction models

Takes ownership of UX design issues and blockers ensuring they are resolved as required

Other Experience Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in related field preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Cloud & Figma

3-5 years of experience with website design, mobile design, user experience flows, user experience design, user experience development and requirements management

Extensive experience with user interface design patterns and standard user-centered design methodologies across multiple platforms

Functional knowledge of digital commerce business processes
