Junior Designer

Job Description:

As Junior Designer, you will collaborate with the design team on the design and documentation of BAMO's renowned interior spaces. You will grow your craft as you support and collaborate with the design team on a variety of high-end projects. You will develop your design knowledge and documentation skills by researching materials, lighting, and furniture, using your visualization skills to develop 3D renderings, and developing drawing sets and custom furniture drawings. The Junior Designer's role will vary depending on the nature and size of the projects. We welcome your distinctive viewpoint and creative contributions.

What you can expect in a Junior Interior Designer Role at BAMO:Assist the project team in the design process and in the production of interior architectural construction documents on a variety of project types including hotel, restaurant, residential, and commercial office interiorsAssist the project team in the furnishings design/selection process and in the production of furnishings specifications on the above project typesParticipate with the project team in producing presentation materials and in presenting designs to clients and other consultantsSupport in the organization and upkeep of office design resources such as library, samples, etc.Expand your knowledge of high-end interior design resources (vendors, professional sources) with regular in-house presentations and travel to industry conferences.Preferred Qualifications:

College-level degree required (architecture, interior design or related field)Minimum 2 years experience desiredExperience in Residential, Commercial, and Hospitality strongly preferred.Experience required in:Interior architectural design and design presentationProduction of contract documentsSelection, coordination of interior architectural finishesSelection, coordination of furnishings (desired)Take initiative and ownership of all tasks on projects.Meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work produced.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Detail-oriented and thorough.Positive attitude, team-oriented, flexible, and productive.Skilled in three-dimensional computer design, rendering, and planning.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, and hand sketching.Benefits Summary:
