This is a temporary position that is expected to last 3-4 months. This position is responsible for the graphic design of packaging solutions across all channels for company products. This includes graphic development for outer cartons, containers, labels, bags, etc. Liaise with marketing and merchandising groups to collect information and define criteria and objectives. Develop graphic concepts that represent the product category with our brand image, approved color palettes, and relate coordinating components. Develop comps to be used for presentations of proposed designs to gain consensus and feedback from internal customers.

Develop packaging graphic solutions for all Harry David products to convey a brand-relevant and current look to our product offerings.Liaise with internal marketing, merchandising, and production point people to develop solutions that are cost efficient to produce while accurately conveying the brand image and attributes of the product.Coordinate the packaging graphic format, looks, and design imagery across retail, wholesale, and direct marketing channels to insure consistency.Keep an updated library of resources for imagery, talent, materials, vendors, samples, etc. that we can access as designs are developed to keep our image fresh and stay competitive in the marketplace.Insure that design efforts have consistency, quality control, and the highest standards of design excellence. This includes typographic savvy and an excellent eye for color.Proactively seek out ways to improve consistency and effectiveness of packaging for the company. Stay informed about company products, current graphic design trends and tools, and industry developments that may lead to future visual communications opportunities.Proactively seek opportunities to design content that can be leveraged across multiple campaigns and channels.Other job duties as assigned.Requirements

A degree in Graphic Design required. Preferably BFA or BA in Graphic Design.At least 3+ years design experience in art, graphics and product development.At least 1 year experience in packaging design.Strong fee-hand drawings and art skills plus proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop.Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced and dynamic environment.Ability to create clear and organized art files for print.Knowledge of printing techniques for packaging.Prior experience with prioritizing and maintaining a multi project schedule.Prior experience in streamlining and maintaining production processes.Ability to identify and interpret graphics design needs and develop creative and responsive design concepts.Working knowledge of Graphic Design fundamentals/principles which includes: typography, layout to direct eye flow, color theory.Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
