We are seeking a Senior UX Writer to join the Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Product Design Team. The GMNS Product Design Team is focused on creating and improving digital experiences for Merchant and Network customers. This will be the first UX writing role on the team, providing an opportunity for an ambitious individual to set the foundation for UX writing and content strategy across GMNS Design.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Define and implement a UX writing strategy as the first UX writer on Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Design team

Improve the overall quality of UX writing and design of digital experiences for Merchants and colleagues serving merchants, with an initial focus on Amex Offers

Ensure a deep understanding of business requirements and tech constraints to develop written content, ensuring content vision aligns with business objectives and a cohesive product narrative

Maintain alignment with writing style guidelines and standards to drive consistency, brand alignment, and content integrity

Proofread and edit complex content for overall clarity, alignment with brand guidelines, and user experience objectives

Clearly and confidently present work to collaborators and stakeholders with the ability to defend your decisions persuasively

Use feedback and user testing to iterate effectively

Partner with legal and compliance to meet regulatory needs

Regularly share your work and review the designs of other team members to gain insights, feedback, and drive cross-team collaboration

Be a passionate advocate for Amex Merchant and Network customers

Minimum Qualifications

5 years UX writing experience

Exceptional skills in UX writing and content design

Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an agile environment

Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects

Is an ambassador for UX, with experience communicating to business partners how UX writing and design delivers on user and business goals

Exudes positivity, requires minimal supervision, and has a strong work ethic

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience

Must be able to work in-office from NYC at least 3 days/week

Preferred Qualifications

Experience starting or scaling a UX Writing practice

Experience working in a heavily regulated industry or on a project with substantial design constraints

A portfolio highlighting your end-to-end design process

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
