LOCATION

This position will be a hybrid arrangement with travel expectations to designated university partners and CU locations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivers on University Credit Unions Service Promises and Core Values to engage in behaviors that create member loyalty.

Responsible for executing traditional and new media marketing programs to achieve and support departmental and organizational goals.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, monitoring, and analyzing marketing programs that support sales efforts for all consumer loan and consumer deposit product lines.

Utilizes data and analysis from multiple sources for planning and measurement of marketing strategies and campaigns.

Develops and oversees promotions including advertising, public relations, and promotional campaigns.

Participates in the inception and development of new services and products based on perceived member needs.

Ensures brand integrity is maintained in all marketing and communication channels.

Assumes responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of effective marketing strategies and policies.

Assumes responsibility for formulating and executing effective product and service strategies and programs.

Assumes responsibility for the development of effective promotion strategies.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional business relations with members, vendors, and trade contacts.

Effectively supervises marketing personnel, ensuring optimal performance.

Directs, trains, and appraises marketing personnel.

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, or business-related field required. Masters degree preferred. Additional business development or marketing training preferred in a credit union or banking environment where a consultative sales approach is used.

Required Knowledge:

Knowledge of Credit Union products and operations.

Thorough understanding of marketing, business, and media processes.

Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and marketing analytics.

Experience Required:

5 years of related experience.

Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.

Experience in planning marketing campaigns and other strategic initiatives.

Experience in executing digital marketing campaigns and providing insightful analysis of the results.

Skills/Abilities:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Well organized.

Attentive to detail.

Strong project management abilities.

Able to use related computer applications.

An independent thinker and self-starter.

Can do approach to resolving issues and overcoming objections.

ADA Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

If based remotely, may be required to travel up to 20% of the time to the UCU HQ in Los Angeles. Must be able to travel and move within buildings to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.

Working Conditions:

If working onsite, must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements:

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision.
