TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

A full contract for this position is 240 days, with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in education, public relations, marketing, communication or a related field.

Experience in public relations, communications, marketing or a similar role, preferably in education.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse groups.

Proficient in data analysis to evaluate the success of marketing campaigns and engagement efforts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversee all district communication and marketing efforts, including social media, press releases, website management, and marketing strategies.

Serve as the district's spokesperson, working with the media and addressing public concerns in collaboration with the communications team.

Ensure clear and consistent communication of the district's mission, vision, and strategic initiatives to all stakeholders.

Develop and implement strategies to engage parents, students, community members, and staff in the district’s decision-making process.

Organize and participate in community meetings, forums, and other outreach events to gather input and feedback.

Foster partnerships with local businesses, non-profits, and other community organizations to support the district’s goals.

Develop and implement marketing campaigns that promote district initiatives, programs, and achievements to the public.

Develop and execute digital marketing strategies utilizing a range of tools and platforms, including social media management and SEO, to enhance brand visibility and drive engagement.

Collaborate with school leaders and departments to ensure consistent branding across schools and district materials.

Create marketing materials such as brochures, videos, infographics, and promotional content to attract new students and families.

Analyze marketing data to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

Assist with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in compliance with federal, state, or local regulations, ensuring timely disclosure of public records while safeguarding sensitive or confidential information.

Manage department staff members, duties, and responsibilities.

Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.

Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.

Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.

Maintain confidentiality.

Maintain prompt and regular attendance and demonstrate the ability to maintain positive professional working relationships with others.

Evaluate and supervise departmental staff.

Maintain emotional control under stress.

Serve on committees as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.

Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
