RACER is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, dynamic and financially-driven Vice President of Social Media & Digital Marketing to join our compact yet rapidly growing team following our recently completed capital raise.
The opportunity will have you taking the point on social media strategy for our brands, social and digital strategy for our commerce products, and pitching social media and digital solutions to the major motorsports and automotive brands who engage our agency RACER Studio.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development: Regularly analyze and report on emerging social media trends and technologies, as well as competitor social content strategies and results, and develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies for company brands and initiatives that are then industry-leading and aligned with business goals and target audiences.
Content Creation and Management: Oversee procuring and creating engaging and relevant social media content tailored for the company’s audiences, and manage associated content calendars, ensuring consistent messaging and timely delivery across all platforms.
Social & Digital Commerce: Take the lead on driving significant growth for the company’s subscription, membership and retail products using social and digital marketing, and grow your compensation through the transactions that you cultivate.
Audience Engagement: Grow the company’s social media reach, following and engagement to an industry-best state and ensure that the company monitors and responds to social media interactions promptly and professionally.
Performance Analysis: Utilize social media analytics tools to track, analyze, and monthly report on the performance of social media calendar and campaigns, and make data-driven decisions to optimize strategies and achieve key performance indicators.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as editorial, content creators, marketing, sales, and product development to align social media efforts with overall marketing and business objectives.
Brand Management: Safeguard the company’s brand reputation by ensuring visual and textual consistency, accuracy, and professionalism in all social media communications.
Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a small but mighty team of social media professionals and content creators, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, and provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Agency Services: Participate in developing a deep understanding of current and prospective agency client’s business goals and the unique value that RACER can provide, help create and deliver tailored client solutions that win and grow agency accounts, and manage the delivery of those solutions in a manner that keeps accounts coming back for more.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in social media, social commerce, digital marketing, or related fields with some prior management experience.
Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, particularly executives and decision-makers with strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience in the motorsports or automotive industry.
We’re based in Irvine, CA, so if you’re nearby that’s a plus. Although work-from-home is common for even our proximate staff and out-of-state remote workers are welcomed.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and expectations.
Strong business acumen and the ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and use insights to drive strategies.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $100k to $125k per year plus a commission program tied to social and digital commerce that can push earnings well over $150k. The base pay will take into account the candidate's geographic region, experience and skills. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision and a 401(k).
