Marketing Automation Specialist

This position is responsible for executing and optimizing automated marketing campaigns by building out technical journeys in email, SMS, and app push platforms to improve conversion and visit frequency, decrease churn, and optimize spend. Additionally, the Marketing Automation Specialist will play a key role in connecting player data through multiple sources to enhance personalization within these journeys. The specialist will work closely with program managers, email developers, and stakeholders on the broader Commercial & Digital, Event, and Brand teams.

Job Responsibilities

Design and implement automated marketing and event journeys across email, SMS, and app push platforms to deliver personalized and targeted communication to our audience.

Build out intricate workflows that align with business objectives and player segmentation strategies.

Manage and optimize marketing automation platforms and vendor relationships, ensuring seamless integration with other marketing technologies.

Collaborate with the Product Manager, CDP to ensure the seamless and effective triggering and deployment of downstream campaigns.

Utilize customer data to create audience segments and personalize automated campaigns for maximum relevance and impact.

Implement A/B testing to refine and improve the effectiveness of automated communications.

Monitor and analyze the performance of automated campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Generate regular reports on key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.

Effective communication skills to convey data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the marketing automation space.

Proactive approach to identifying and addressing data and platform challenges.

Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, error-free automated campaigns.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and platform vendors.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Marketing, or related business field.

5+ Years management of marketing automation platforms (e.g. Oracle Responsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Vibes, Airship).

5+ Years experience with marketing campaign design and implementation across channels (e.g. email, SMS, app push).

3+ Years relational table, query and custom audience development.

3+ Years data handling – utilizing both API and batch processing.

2+ Years familiarity with programming languages commonly used in data management (e.g. SQL).

2+ Years HTML development (including responsive) and CSS for email. (Preferred)
