The ideal candidate will have experience in software, artificial intelligence, IoT, and quantum technologies, with a commitment to excellence in legal practice and communication. This role is based in Houston, TX, and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the forefront of innovation.Key Responsibilities:Draft, prepare, and prosecute patent applications related to product design and user interface technologies.Conduct patent searches and provide detailed analysis of patentability and infringement risks.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and product designers to understand technical innovations and translate them into high-quality patent applications.Analyze existing patents and provide strategic counsel to clients regarding potential litigation or licensing opportunities.Stay updated on developments in patent law, particularly as they relate to software, AI, IoT, and quantum technologies.Support clients with due diligence, including reviewing and analyzing third-party patents.Manage client communications and develop strategies for securing broad patent protection.Review and analyze office actions, prepare responses, and conduct examiner interviews as needed.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and legal strategies.Requirements:2+ years of relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution.Strong background in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science.Demonstrated experience working with technologies related to software, artificial intelligence, IoT, networking, or quantum technologies.JD from an accredited law school.Admission to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office).High academic achievement and a proven track record in patent law.Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Education:Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.JD from an accredited law school is required.Certifications:Admission to the USPTO is mandatory.Skills:Superb writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.Strong analytical skills with an ability to assess legal and technical documents thoroughly.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Proficiency in patent management software and legal research tools.Familiarity with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, IoT, and quantum computing.Location:
