The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is a non-profit advocacy organization for the Hindu American community. Position Summary:

The Associate Director of Development will be responsible for mass email marketing to HAF’s supporter base to both publicize HAF’s products, services, and events (online and in person) as well as solicit donations for the organization. The role will work closely with the marketing team to increase both virtual engagement with HAF’s supporters and optimize the online donation experience.

Essential Duties:

The successful incumbent will be able to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodations:

Draft and send marketing emails to promote HAF’s products, services, events, ongoing programming, and more.

Draft and send emails to solicit donations from HAF’s supporter base.

Manage all e-communication for events, both in-person and virtual, including pre and post messaging and assist events/gala team with events management system to manage ticketing and messaging of upcoming programs and events.

Set up Zoom conferences/webinars for relevant programming and manage registrant/attendee list to ensure effective pre and post messaging.

Work alongside the marketing team to assist with snail mail marketing to HAF supporter base.

Analyze email metrics such as open rates and click through rates to identify strategic opportunities and implement successful digital marketing campaigns.

Assist in running reports from HAF’s donor database, online donation system, and event management systems.

Required Education and Experience:

Undergraduate degree in liberal arts, marketing, graphic design, business, or communications.

Two to three years of relevant experience in a similar role in a mission-driven organization.

Good working knowledge of India and Hindu teachings, practices, traditions, and the diaspora.

Ability to communicate effectively in various modes, including written, verbal, and electronic platforms.

Successful track record of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Technical fluency with productivity and database applications including, but not limited to Google Workspace, and online collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Asana).

Technical fluency with customer relationship management (CRM) and mass emailing technology, specifically Salesforce and Pardot.

Technical fluency with email design tools such as BeePro.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience with Salesforce and Pardot.

Experience with BeePro or similar design software.
