Resource who has a Minimum of 10 years of Technical Writing experience.A Senior Technical Writer is a highly skilled professional responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation that communicates complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that product documentation, user guides, and manuals are clear, accurate, and accessible to users, helping them effectively use and understand the technology or products.Responsibilities

Develop and execute a documentation strategy that aligns with the organization's product development and release cycles.Collaborate with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to understand documentation needs.Write, edit, and format technical documentation, including user manuals, online help, release notes, API documentation, and knowledge base articles.Identify and understand the target audience(s) for each document or piece of content.Proficiently use documentation tools and software as provided by the NJ DOE.Create or collaborate with graphic designers to include visual elements like diagrams, screenshots, and illustrations to enhance comprehension.Conduct usability testing of documentation with end users to gather feedback and make improvements.Ensure that documentation complies with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.Coordinate translation and localization efforts for documentation as needed for global audiences.Provide training to end users and collaborate with other teams, including support, product management, and development, to gather information and feedback.Communicate updates to users through release notes and other channels.Provide support and guidance to users seeking help through documentation.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, computer science, or a related field.Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.Experience writing technical documentation for cloud-based software, such as Salesforce, AWS, and Snowflake.Knowledge of content management systems and version control systems.Strong organizational and project management skills.Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.Required/Desired Skills
