St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church (ELCA) is seeking a Combined Music Director-Organist Position to lead and support our congregation for Sunday worship services on the organ and piano. This position includes selecting, preparing, and directing the Adult Vocal and Handbell Choirs to provide special music/anthems appropriate to the Lutheran worship calendar year. This is a part-time position approximately 10 hrs per week. Salary ($19,000-25,000) commensurate with educational qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include:

Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role.One 9:30am service each Sunday consisting of prelude, postlude, liturgical responses, hymns, and anthem played on organ and/or piano.Directing two vocal choir anthems per month; additional for special Sundays.Directing the Handbell Choir anthems occasionally on Sundays and on special holidays.Weekly rehearsals alternating Adult Vocal choir and Handbell Choir (presently Thursday evenings).Preparing/scheduling solo/duet/instrumental musical offerings during the summer (last week of June, July, and August).Opportunities for accompanying during weddings and funerals if available.Special Christian holidays and services include Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Reformation, All Saints Day, occasionally Ecumenical services, and Christmas Eve.
