The GT Library works to fulfill the mission and vision of Georgia Tech and is committed to supporting the Institute's new Strategic Plan.Job Summary The Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for an early career professional to join the teaching team in the Academic Engagement department. This position would report directly to the Instruction Manager of Academic Engagement and is responsible for providing library-based research support to the Georgia Tech community, especially students, faculty, and staff in STEM disciplines. The position instructs the Georgia Tech community in information, multimedia, and/or data literacy skills.Responsibilities Provide and improve library services and resources; enrich the research, learning, and scholarship of the Georgia Tech community through the following:80% Librarianship

Supplement in-person instruction in Academic Engagement for multimedia, data, or information literacy skills.Design and deliver library instruction by applying best practice design principles to create effective learning experiences in in-person, hybrid, or online modalities.Collaborate with Library colleagues and faculty to integrate various literacies into the curriculum.Use technology to enhance instruction, such as creating online tutorials, interactive modules, or virtual workshops.Provide research support services to the Georgia Tech community.Build and foster community relations, representing the library and campus-wide committees.Work with Academic Engagement colleagues to create and maintain departmental workflows and documentation.Stay abreast of educational technology trends and tools.Other duties as assigned.10% Scholarship and Creative Endeavors

Contribute professionally through research, scholarship, and creative activities.10% Service

Foster positive relations with faculty, students, and staff.Serve on library and university committees as assigned.Contribute to the profession through service to professional organizations.Required Qualifications This position vacancy will be filled at the rank of Librarian I. Appointment to this rank requires an appropriate terminal degree, typically an American Library Association (ALA) - accredited master's degree.Preferred Qualifications
