A lead telecom designer designs advanced telecommunication system schematics to support projects in our Venue sector, prepares design documents and performs engineering calculations in coordination with project teams and multiple disciplines. They train, mentor and provide leadership to telecom design staff which may include directly supervising others.
Key Responsibilities:Assisting in developing overall telecommunication system schematics to support projects in our Venue SectorAssisting in the development of overall technology system design, layouts, details, rack elevations and schematics under the direction of a senior designer/engineerPreparing drawings of system layout, details, rack elevations and signal flow diagramsProactively seeks opportunities for continuous learning and understanding of industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Products.Producing low voltage system drawings and specifications suitable for bidding by qualified contractorsPerforming necessary calculations and be involved in job site visits, construction observations and/or attend client meetingsWorking with architects, clients, contractors and project managers to create a successful outcomeManaging multiple projects/tasks simultaneouslyRequired Qualifications:Have at least 3-5+ years of telecommunications design experienceAre proficient in Revit (must) and AutoCAD (this is a plus)Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (ie: mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and 11 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of experience without degree required.High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) requiredHave fiber optic and copper structured cabling system design experienceHave clear oral and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Have an active CTS-D or RCDD certificationAre able to travel up to 15% and are able to walk through very large job/building sitesLet's Talk PerksWe take care of our people.
