Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityBAE Systems is looking for a Technical Director for our Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Business Area. C4ISR is a dynamic and diverse Business Area with technologies spanning advanced sensing, communications, identification, ISR analytics, mission autonomy, and space electronics and payloads. We are a pathfinder in our defense and intelligence markets, focused on delivering disruptive technology in all domains to give our customers the edge they need.The C4ISR Technical Director is responsible for the Business Area technology strategy. The technology strategy integrates technology roadmaps, investment plans, collaboration opportunities, business capacity, and customer and competitor dynamics to enable our business objectives.This position reports to the C4ISR Business Area Engineering Director and is a key member of our $1.5 billion Business Area leadership team. The C4ISR Technical Director leads a team of Product Line Technical Directors who develop portfolio-level technology strategies across the business.Specific responsibilities include:Engaging inside and outside the business to understand current and future C4ISR missions, and relevant technology trends to predict future breakthroughs, innovation, and market strategies to enable business growth.Collaborating across the business and externally to leverage technology for growth and performance.Driving the development and execution of technology roadmaps to meet business objectives.Maximizing product leverage to accelerate development and production.Leading a team of direct report technical directors to develop and execute portfolio-level technology strategies.Ensuring a robust pipeline of next generation technical leaders through mentoring, coaching, and managed development assignments.Managing the Business Area Internal Research and Development (IRAD) portfolio for targeted technology development to enable growth and performance.Capturing relevant Intellectual Property (IP) for the business and managing the C4ISR Systems IP portfolio.Driving strategic alignment across our Sector and BAE System Inc to maximize overall growth and performance.Driving our technology solutions organization, FAST Labs, to capture priorities that meet C4ISR Systems technology needs.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsRequired Education: Bachelor Degree and 16 years related Experience (Advanced Degree Preferred)Minimum 5 years leading a diverse organization across multiple sites with different cultures and experience levels.Minimum 10 years of collaboration and the ability to achieve goals and produce outcomes through influencing skills.Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision.Minimum 15 years of technical leadership experience and mission/domain knowledge of emerging C4ISR systems and capabilities relevant to the business.Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the business.Aligned with the BAE Systems Code of Conduct.Top Secret Security Clearance. Eligible for TS/SCI.Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsAdvanced Technical DegreeRecognized mission/technical expert in the domains pertinent to C4ISRExperience in Intellectual Property ManagementPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $194600 - $330800Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
