VTG is seeking a Proposals Technical Writer located in Virginia Beach, VA.

What will you do?

The Proposals Technical Writer writes and edits complex material for customer reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, working primarily for Federal customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Write, review and edit materials for customer proposals, primarily for the US Government DOD, including:

Technical, management and past performance proposalsWhite papersRequirements and other technical documentationUpcoming contract proposals and bids including IDIQ type contracts

Work product will focus on compliance, messaging, and completenessWork closely with proposal writers and volume managers on grammar and formattingAdhere to applicable business development processes and procedures, including document archiving and management, in the execution of the proposal processAssist in establishing and implementing publishing standards complianceRetrieve and analyze project and program historical information from various sources to support statement of work (SOW), work breakdown structure (WBS), and estimate developmentPrepare various supporting analyses for projects and programs to measure effectiveness; track and escalate action items, monitor project delivery and client satisfaction, and communicate with all appropriate levels within the organizationSupport program and project management/project controls functions; assist with activities such as planning requirements, analysis and design, technical reviews, integration, implementation, operations turnover, and project closingInterpret statements of work (SOW), work breakdown structure (WBS), and estimate development

Position requires knowledge of enterprise resources planning systems and techniques; working knowledge of network and operating systems, server technologies and programs such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Earned Value Management, Microsoft SQL, and Visual Basic. Programming knowledge specific to company/department assets is preferredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Valid driver's licenseOther:Position may require occasional travel, less than 10%
