The Role:They're looking for a remote Senior Solar Designer who can ensure quality control of all designs from the designers and actually do the designs themselves, not wait for a revision when it's needed.
Responsibilities:Perform engineering for projects in our pipeline.Complete system designs for PV projects, including site plans, mechanical racking and mounting plans, single-line electrical drawings, specification of BOS location and interconnection details, and labeling.Provide engineering support to operations as needed.Understand the optimal design applications and design limitations of our products.
Requirements:Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.Experience with Aroura design software preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Minimum 5 years of design experience related to renewable energy, photovoltaic systems, electrical systems, and construction practices.BS degree in ME or EE or related field preferred.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner.Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
