The Public Affairs Specialist (Web Producer) position is in the Office of the Deputy Director, Office of Public Affairs (OPA). The OPA provides a wide range of communication services for judges, court staff, and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, and serves as the liaison between the Judiciary and the news media. The OPA's core programs are media relations, web and social media services, video production services, and community and educational outreach.

The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.The Office of Public Affairs is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Public Affairs Specialist (Web Producer) to join its team. The OPA carries out a public information and communications program with the federal Judiciary, the media, the public, other branches of government, and organizations and institutions. The incumbent will work as part of the Web Communications Team and support the day-to-day functions and projects associated with the operations of the Judiciary's intranet and internet websites. This position will report to the Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist in the OPA.Duties:The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTQualifications:Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.Specialized Experience:

Applicants must have at least

one full year (52 weeks)

of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position.

Specialized experience

must demonstrate experience in

ALL

areas defined below:Performing web content activities, including writing, editing, reviewing, posting, and promoting content.Implementing web usability, accessibility, and best practices and standards, including Section 508 requirements.Creating and modifying web content using a content management system.Working with project teams on website enhancements.
