Job Description

Maintain and share policy expertise with standards and regulations related to the planning, development, management, and authentication of equipment publications.

Conduct In-Process Review (IPR) and Final Reproducible Copy (FRC) Technical Manual (TM) Reviews using the Interactive Authoring Display Software (IADS) viewer to document comments.

Communicate results of TM reviews to division peers.

Deliver support services to division-wide peers and subordinates with occasional oversight.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience:

To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience includes: 1) Interpreting publication regulatory guidance in order to provide policy and procedural guidance; 2) providing publication development guidance to others; AND 3) reviewing equipment publications.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication, Planning and Evaluating, Technical Competence, and Writing.

Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. This non-supervisory position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-13, step 05 base salary, or if the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the GS-13, step 05 level, the incumbent's salary will be put on a salary control point at the incumbent's existing salary.
