What You Will Do

The Director of Brand Engagement will lead Advocacy & Influence and Social Media Marketing for Lancôme (Makeup, Fragrances and Skincare): develop, implement, monitor and optimize the brand’s influencer marketing and social strategies, with the objectives to maximize brand awareness, consumer engagement, product desirability and ecommerce revenues in our categories. Job Duties and Accountabilities Play a critical role in developing holistic social-first marketing plans to grow the Lancôme brand and an engaged Lancôme social community

Develop and execute powerful A&I and social and community management programs to launch new products and support core pillars and brand key moments in a disruptive and locally relevant way to recruit new consumers and maintain loyalistsBe the team’s quarter back of creativity – leverage tools, data, social platforms and internal resources to help the team ideate around trends and move at the speed of culture to develop a social-first A&I and social content strategy that will break through the clutter and drive engagement and brand love.

Creative skills and out-of-the-box thinking a mustOptimize earned strategy around eventing, experiences and mailers to propel the US A&I Share of Influence results to be a top beauty brand in Reach, Video Views, Impressions and EngagementIn partnership with the Media team, leverage the best A&I and social content in paid media to maximize reach and engagementsIn partnership with the brand’s D2C and eRetail teams, develop the right programs, activations and contents to boost traffic and conversion to Lancome-use.com and our retailer’s websitesAbility to work cross-functionally a matrixed environment is a must - Brand Engagement, Media, Marketing, Retail/Sales, CDMO, Global Marketing (DMI)Align strategies with the brand's global team to guarantee the consistency of the US plan vs the global brand vision while enabling the global team to understand our local specific needsAbility to manage and grow team talents, plus manage multiple agencies, vendors and work with business partners on new innovations as well as best practicesFinancially savvy – must be able to manage budgets and demonstrate strong financial acumen

Data-obsessed – Strong analytic skills is a must Key Challenges, Issues and Complexity There are a few areas of opportunity for the job holder. The first is as a heritage brand we have strategic pillars that are very strong with a loyal customer base such as Teint Idole Foundation, our Mascara franchise (Hypnose, Idole etc), Genifique skincare, La Vie Est Belle Fragrance to name a few.

The challenge is to grow these pillars in a very competitive environment and maintain loyal consumers while recruiting new and younger consumers into the brand.

There’s a massive opportunity to take inspiration from what’s going viral and getting a lot of buzz on social to apply to our go to market strategy to accelerate earned and social-first activations.

The next challenge is working with the DMI to grow our social community.

We struggle with US relevancy and engagement.

There’s a massive opportunity to accelerate here with creativity and moving at the speed of culture to activate around trends.

Specifically on social platforms like Tik Tok and Instagram. Organization Structure and Key Working Relationships The job holder will work closely with the DMI and cross functional teams like eRetail and Lancome-usa.com to bring social first campaigns to life.

Meetings will occur via TEAMS on a bi-weekly or weekly basis pending the project activation timeline and cadence necessary to activate.

We are looking for a true expert in social and digital landscape, with Influencer Marketing and Social Media Strategy and Content experience with a deep understanding of social platforms (specific emphasis on Tik Tok, Meta and YouTube), beauty social trends, talent and social analytics Must have rich knowledge of social platforms functionality (Tik Tok, Instagram, Meta, X Pinterest etc.) and be proficient with influencer marketing systems and social media platform measurement and social publishing and listening tools (Traackr, Rival IQ, Netbase, Sprinklr, etc)Beauty experience is a plus, specifically makeup, fragrance and/or skincare8-10 year’s experience in social media/digital marketing, influencer marketing, and integrated communications (PR and event strategy)Bachelor’s degree in related fieldAttention to detail and high level of organizationExperience managing budgets with moderate autonomy Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to effectively structure and articulate presentations Aptitude to thrive a fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentAs an integral part of our culture at L’Oréal, wellness is at our core. Additional Benefits Information As Follows

Salary Range: $140,100-203,200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
