Who are we looking for:
We’re looking for an outstanding Designer II to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, cultural pulse and creativity to help build and inspire the future of Jordan Brand Design!
You’re in an early stage of your career and are excited about what’s possible. You’ve got an outstanding foundation in the craft of design and a growing knowledge of design systems. You’re efficient with your time, know your way around the latest design software and tools, and are familiar with the day-to-day operations of a design studio. You can’t wait to merge your growing knowledge of design concepts with your love for culture, fashion, and sports. You can balance multiple projects and welcome feedback and direction from senior team members. In addition to your outstanding design chops, you’re engaged, collaborative, and want to help build our team culture.
What you will work on:
You'll focus on consumer facing brand communications for product, marketing, digital, retail, and collateral materials. You'll concept and collaborate with cross functional teams to create visual solutions that connect with our consumers, to support seasonal brand communication needs. Under the direction of an Art Director, you will create original design solutions for 2D, 3D, and motion executions for consumer experiences: graphics, retail, digital, etc. Across Jordan Design, you'll help craft all aspects of the look and feel of the brand at all consumer touch points.
Design considered, crafted, and conceptually minded work that represents the Nike brand through visual comps, wireframes and prototypes.
Rapidly iterate on design concepts - from initial briefing through final delivery.
Work closely with and across a team of producers, product managers and fellow designers Inspire new ways of thinking and explore the unknown using fresh and unique approaches to design problems.
Collaborate with digital production and geography teams to meet objectives and timelines.
Who will you work with?
You will report directly to the Jordan Art Direction - Art Director, while regularly partnering with other team members including Global Art Direction Designers, Footwear and Apparel Designers, and Brand Managers.
What you bring to Nike
2+ years of agency, in-house or start-up design experience
A Bachelor’s degree in design, advertising, art direction or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Ability to craft original design solutions for 2D, 3D, and motion execution for seasonal campaigns, retail, and digital solutions.
Astute attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills in service of your creative projects.
Technical knowledge of both print and digital design processes using Adobe programs including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator (After Effects a plus)
Experience building meaningful concept presentations, and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction
Familiarity with current trends, color, design, art, photography and experience design.
A solutions-oriented mentality, with laser-sharp focus and an ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Strong time management with ability to toggle between tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills, and an open, positive and collaborative spirit
